MPJ also seeks to empower Saskatchewan Muslims through our Annual Conferences and our Workshop Series. Our one-day workshops are designed to make Muslims effective activists and contributors.
Our workshops train Muslims in the following:

- Effective Media Relations

MPJ featured in Saskatchewan documentary
In 2007, MPJ officials were interviewed as part of a new documentary entitled "Landing" that was aired by the Saskatchewan Community Network (SCN). MPJ President Amr Henni, MPJ Vice-President Zeba Hashmi, and MPJ member Ayman Aboguddah were interviewed as part of the documentary.
Canadian Broadcast News, Prairie Division Conference
On May 11, 2007, MPJ was invited to make a presentation on coverage of Islam and Muslims in the news media at the annual Prairie regional conference of Canadian Broadcast News. MPJ Vice-President Zeba Hashmi made the presentation and it was very well-received by media representatives. CBC, CTV, Rawlco Radio, Canadian Press, and other media outlets attended the event.
MPJ 2005 Eid Gathering
On February 6, 2005, MPJ in conjunction with the Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) held an Eid Gathering with public officials and community leaders. Notable attendees were Federal MP David Batters, Mayor Pat Fiacco, Councillor Bill Hutchinson, Deputy Police Chief Clive Weighill and RCMP Superintendent Ron Plomp.
MPJ Community Relations Director Samiul Haque gave a presentation on Eid ul-Adha & Hajj to the gathering. The event gave the Muslim community a chance to network and interact with political leaders, law enforcement and community activists.
